SAFE Filing Deadline Change & New SAFE Team Member
Please join us in welcoming AnneLewis Vowell to our team as a SAFE Claims Examiner.
In addition to expanding our team, we are implementing a policy update designed to accelerate reimbursements. To ensure faster processing and more timely payments, the SAFE Payment Program is updating its filing deadline.
Effective July 1, 2026, the filing deadline for examinations will shift from one year to 90 days from the date of examination.

Please be advised that based on delays in grant funding beyond our control, VVF is prioritizing awards pursuant to Va. Code § 19.2-368.11:1 (A), (B), and (D).
The SAFE FNE Mileage Reimbursement Form should be used by FNEs seeking mileage reimbursement for performing PERKs. Travel must comport with the Virginia Department of Accounts Travel Regulations and CAPP Manual.
