WebFile Troubleshooting First Steps

Many issues that WebFile users encounter are related to the web browser used to access WebFile.

These are the first steps to take when having trouble with WebFile:
  1. Log out of WebFile.
  2. Clear all caches for the browser(s) used to access WebFile:
    Chrome | Edge | Safari | Firefox
  3. Restart the device and log into WebFile again.
If the problem persists, try the same steps on a different device such as a mobile phone. This is an important step as connection issues to WebFile can be device-specific.

WebFile Technical Support

  1. Navigate to the VVF WebFile login page.
  2. Click the "Login" button.
  3. Click the "Forgot Password" link.
  4. Enter your VVF WebFile username and click "Submit". If you do not remember your username, click "Back to Login" and then click the "Forgot Username" link.

Documents uploaded to WebFile must be in PDF format.
The total size of PDF attachments cannot exceed 15 MB.

If you are logged into WebFile, navigate to "Manage Profile" and use the "Change Email Address" portlet to update your email address.

If you are unable to log into Webfile, email the VVF Team.

If you are not receiving password reset emails from WebFile, email the VVF Team.

If you are repeatedly getting the "Session Expired/Invalidated" error message your device's clock is likely out of sync with the WebFile server. Please take these steps:

  1. Clear all web browser caches and restart your device.
  2. Compare the clock on the PC/device you are using to access WebFile to another device with a reliable time, such as a mobile phone. You can search the internet for instructions to adjust the clock, if necessary.
  3. If the problem persists, please try steps 1-2 above on a different devices such as a mobile phone.
  4. If the problem is consistent across different devices please email the VVF Team with the following information:
    • The username of your WebFile account
    • The time displayed on your device when the last error occurred
    • The time displayed on your mobile phone when the last error occurred
    • A screenshot showing the entire screen that displays the error message
