SAFE Filing Deadline Change & New SAFE Team Member

We are pleased to share some positive updates regarding the SAFE Payment Program. First, please join us in welcoming AnneLewis Vowell to our team as a SAFE Claims Examiner. We are excited to have her on board as we continue to enhance our support and streamline our operations.

In addition to expanding our team, we are implementing a policy update designed to accelerate reimbursements. To ensure faster processing and more timely payments, the SAFE Payment Program is updating its filing deadline.

Key Policy Change:

Effective July 1, 2026, the filing deadline for examinations will shift from one year to 90 days from the date of examination.

This change ensures faster claim processing, prevents backlogs, and ensures more timely reimbursements to our pharmacy partners. This update applies to all examinations conducted on or after July 1, 2026.
